Inspired by the legacy of the Christian Fiction Readers Retreat, Rendezvous was founded to support The Christy Award program, connect authors and readers, and promote Christian fiction and sweet reads. Since the inaugural event in 2023, Rendezvous and The Christy Award organizers have partnered to serve readers, authors, and publishers with an edifying gathering of the fiction community.
